In the past I had a photography studio in New York City, before I came to my senses and moved back to New Jersey. When I would see these phones on the streets in NYC often they would reflect the light around them. So when I had this pay phone in the studio I photographed it with that memory in mind. For those of you who never saw one in action you would put money in them and make a call before we all had cell phones.
